President Akufo-Addo Launches NSS Policy for 2024-2034
A New Era for National Service
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has launched the National Service Scheme (NSS) Policy for 2024-2034, ushering in a new era for the scheme.
The NSS was established in 1973 under the Ministry of Education of Ghana. It is a government program that provides graduates with the opportunity to serve their nation for a period of one year. The new policy aims to modernize the scheme and make it more relevant to the current needs of the country.
Speaking at the launch, President Akufo-Addo said that the new policy will focus on three key areas: skills development, entrepreneurship, and patriotism. He said that the government is committed to providing NSS personnel with the skills they need to succeed in the job market.
